Listing and Selling

When will you launch?

WE'RE NOW LIVE as of Friday 15th March 2024.

How do I become a verified seller on TeachBuySell?

You become verified by publishing your first listing for review. Once it's approved by our panel of primary teaching experts, you're verified and can post future listings instantly, without review.

Why is there a verification process for my first listing?

By reviewing your first listing, we ensure quality assurance, build buyer trust, and set you up for success with valuable feedback to improve your offerings on TeachBuySell.

What can I sell on TeachBuySell?

You can sell your own original digital teaching resources that are suitable for Australian early childhood and primary educators. This includes materials aligned with the Australian Curriculum or generic teaching resources such as Clip Art.

In Short:

  • Digital: Only digital resources are accepted - we don't allow physical products.

  • Original: Your unique creations, not copied from others.

  • Relevant: Must be suitable for early childhood and primary education in Australia.

Are there any restrictions on the type of resources I can sell? YES...

Ensure your original resources are tailored for Australian early childhood or primary education โ€“ this means they should follow Australian spelling, teaching standards, and educational norms, not those from other countries.

Is it free to list a resource for sale? YES...

There is no cost to listing your resource for sale.

If your item sells, you will get paid out 80% of the sale price, minus a 30c payment processing fee (soon to be removed).

Can I sell resources if I live outside Australia? YES...

Anyone from anywhere is welcome to sell on our marketplace.

As long as the resource you're listing for sale is original and relevant to Australian early childood and primary teachers, e.g. it's tailored to the Australian Curriculum or it's a general-purpose resource that can be used by anyone such as a Clip Art, then it's fine.

Are my resources listed in AUD? YES...

All resources are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD), catering to the Australian educational community.

Can you help me import my TPT products to here? YES...

We have an importer tool that will save you hours of time from manually creating listings one at a time. Use the tool to quickly export, review and import your TPT products to TeachBuySell!

Need assistance? We're here to help through phone calls, Zoom meetings, or screen recordings. Just email us at [email protected] for guidance.

Seller Accounts and Payouts

What is the payout rate for a free account?

If your item sells, you will get paid out 80% of the sale price, minus a 30c payment processing fee.

What types of seller accounts are offered?

Single-tier Membership

TeachBuySell (TBS) is a community-driven marketplace where every seller is valued equally. Currently, we offer a free seller account to everyone. Educators can sign up and list their content to start earning without any fees. This ensures that all our members have the same opportunities and benefits, creating a fair and transparent environment.

Our payout rate is 80% for all sellers.

While we work with the community on developing premium features, our focus remains on treating every seller equally and growing together as a community.

When and how will I receive my payout?

Your payouts are released daily by our payment processor, Stripe. You can typically expect for the funds to arrive in your nominated bank account between 5-7 business days.

How does the payout rate compare to other marketplaces?

With a 80% payout rate, you'll get one of the highest, if not the highest, payout rate for a free account.
